Cradle Coast Regional Land Use Strategy
Rather than simply managing a project, Nicole established the relationships and ways of working that enabled the project to move forward. Her calm, practical and collaborative communication creates an environment where stakeholders with differing priorities, competing interests and significant responsibilities can work together constructively, build trust and focus on achieving a shared outcome.
Outputs included:
- Establishing effective project management and collaborative ways of working.
- Building trusted relationships across nine local governments, the Tasmanian Government agencies and the Steering Group.
- Developing project plans, timelines and delivery frameworks.
- Preparing strategic reports and briefings for senior executives, the Steering Group.
- Managing consultant procurement, relationships and project deliverables.
- Preparing supporting documents and coordinating technical stakeholder activities.
- Identifying and managing emerging risks and complex issues to maintain project momentum.
- Facilitating communication between multiple stakeholders with differing objectives and priorities.
Project Outcome
With Nicole's support under the direction of the Steering Group and Cradle Coast Authority CEO, Phil Reid, consultant Heidi Goess developed the Land Use Strategy in partnership with the Planners from nine regional Councils and the Tasmanian Government.
The project regained momentum and progressed through to submission to the Tasmanian Planning Commission, exhibition and ultimately to the Minister for Planning for consideration and endorsement.
